UK, 26 th September 2005 ; Today rockdirect have launched the Xtreme CT a 17”, Intel® Centrino™ mobile technology notebook incorporating the ATI Mobility RADEON® X800 XT Platinum edition graphics card. The Xtreme CT is a slimmer and lighter notebook than its predecessors, making it a portable package with great performance capabilities and ideal for gamers and graphical designers.

The ATI Mobility RADEON® X800 XT Platinum card is encased in a stunning chassis with the rock logo laser etched into the aluminium screen lid, giving you a sleek design and weighs just 3.8 kilograms. The Xtreme CT is revolutionary for mobile users who want high-definition (HD) screen quality and the worlds most powerful mobile CPU.

The Xtreme CT has many other features; an X-Glass screen with super high resolution means your games or designs will look crisp and bright; Intel® integrated wireless networking enables the user to access the internet without the fuss of wires and 3 years parts and labour warranty so that you have piece of mind should anything go wrong.

Standard features of the Xtreme CT; Intel® Centrino™ Mobile technology, DVD writer, 17” WSXGA+ X-Glass TFT screen, 1GB DDR2,  7200rpm hard drives , Bluetooth and a minimum of 4 USB 2.0 ports. Customers also have the option of customising and upgrading their notebook to suit their individual needs. Options that are available include; a digital TV tuner which complements the HD screen quality powered by ATI and an upgradeable VGA option.

In addition the Xtreme CT is competitively priced in comparison to other 17” Centrino™ models currently on the market. Prices start from £1,199ex VAT and will be available from mid October 2005.
