News / rock strengthens range with two new notebooks

28-06-2022

performance notebook manufacturer rock has today strengthened its product line-up with the launch of two new notebooks. Both offer superb application and gaming performance from prices of just £899 ex VAT.

Featuring powerful mobile dual core processors and fitted with NVIDIA GeForce Go 7600 graphics as standard, these new portable notebooks offer a level of gaming performance only previously seen in top-end desktop replacement models. With support for Microsoft DirectX 9, Shader Model 3.0 and High Dynamic-Range Lighting (HDR), this GPU gives the best performance per watt of power possible in a gaming notebook.

The 15.4˝ widescreen Pegasus 660 sets a new standard for gaming and application performance from a notebook of its weight and size. Building on the strengths of the highly acclaimed Pegasus 650, the new model features Intel’s Centrino Core Duo Mobile Technology for superb mobile performance and NVIDIA GeForce Go 7600 graphics card with 256MB onboard memory, it’s possible to play all the latest gaming titles wherever you may be.

Pegasus 660’s silent mode means that at the press of a button, the notebook’s processor cores can be slowed to 1GHz for super quiet fanless running. Weighing 3.1kg, it is one of the lightest in its class and with a premium piano black finish on the lid, the Pegasus 660 will stand out wherever you use it.

Quaddra TX2 is the 17˝ notebook that you can carry with you wherever you go. Weighing 3.5kg and only 3.5cm thick, this notebook is ideal for those who need a large screen for work or play but refuse to compromise on portability.

With AMD’s latest Turion 64 X2 dual core processor, NVIDIA’s GeForce Go 7600 graphics card and WSXGA+ resolution (1680 x 1050) X-Glass screen, this notebook is an ideal tool for creative professionals and gamers alike and offers very aggressive performance for its price. The new Quaddra TX2 retains the same outer casing as the successful Quaddra T64 and has Bluetooth and wireless capabilities as standard.

Commenting on the release, Nick Boardman, CEO, said ‘These two models bring dual core performance to our mid-range line up. The NVIDA GeForce Go 7600 will give gamers a level of performance not seen before in a portable notebook’.
