THE ROCK QUADDRA DTS - FROM ROCKDIRECT

Warwick based specialist notebook manufacturer rockdirect, has today announced its launch of the first Mobile Intel Pentium 4 3.06Ghz notebook to feature a spectacular 17” WXGA TFT display. - Introducing the Quaddra DTS.

The new Quaddra DTS combines powerful presentation capability and maximum digital entertainment possibilities with portability, making it the most fully featured total mobile solution for work or play.

Featuring a stunning 17” widescreen display, running at 1440 x 900 resolution, the screen represents the largest ever seen in a notebook PC, allowing for far more information to be displayed on a notebook screen than ever before; perfect for watching the latest DVD’s, giving breathtaking presentations or for viewing and working on multiple applications at the same time.

The whole system is powered by the NEW Mobile Intel Pentium 4 3.06GHz processor with Intel SpeedStep Technology, allowing users to experience real desktop performance along with all the benefits of mobility, including low power consumption and extended system battery life. In addition, with an extensive full sized keyboard and separate numeric keypad, true desktop quality has been achieved. Never before has a user been able to enjoy the extensive power and performance of a 17” desktop replacement notebook computer without compromising on portability. Weighing just 3.6Kg, and only 36.5mm thick, the Quaddra DTS truly offers all-in-one functionality and the highest level of performance in the thinnest form factor in its class.

The impressive specs don’t stop there, powering the machines graphics is an ATI Mobility Radeon 9000 with 64Mb dedicated graphics memory, a cutting edge product for visuals on the move making the Quaddra DTS powerful enough to run the most graphics-intensive 3D games or business presentations with ease. Furthermore, the unit incorporates 5.1 DTS sound output together with an explosive 5 speaker system, including a removable subwoofer (which can be substituted for an optional TV Tuner or 6-in-1 card reader) to really enhance the DVD viewing, game playing and home theatre experience.

The Quaddra DTS also plays host to a DVD recorder, compatible with the widely accepted DVD -R/-RW formats. This means that over 4GB of valuable data can be backed up in one go, or over two hours of full multimedia content. And that’s without the need to plug anything else

into the machine. It’s feature enhanced further by the built in video camera module, which comes as standard, with further optional extras including up-to-the-minute wireless networking capabilities.
