has today announced an exciting new addition to its notebook
portfolio, the Rock Xtreme. Targeted towards avid gamers
who demand the most powerful game-play experience from
their notebook, the Rock Xtreme delivers blistering performance
in a striking notebook design.
The new Rock Xtreme delivers performance with style
thanks to the latest 3.2Ghz Intel® Pentium® 4
processor with Hyper-ThreadingTM Technology, 800Mhz
FSB and 512Mb DDR400 RAM. For users seeking the ultimate
gaming performance, the impressive specs don’t
stop there. In addition to the systems stunning 15” SXGA+
screen, running at 1400 x 1050 resolution, the unit
also plays host to the fastest, most immersive 3D performance
available - ATI's Radeon Mobility 9600 Pro with 128Mb
dedicated graphics memory making the Xtreme powerful
enough to run the most graphics-intensive 3D games
with ease.
In common with a Formula 1 car, the Xtreme posses
the ultimate in speed, innovation and state-of-the-art
technology. To further emphasise this, the Xtreme is
available in the team colours of three leading Formula
1 teams, Racing Red, Piercing Blue Metallic and Team
Green Metallic. Styling the Xtreme in these 3 stunning
automotive finishes also means that the Rock Xtreme
is a great way for customers to express their individuality
or to make a statement. Each Xtreme is meticulously
hand painted with multiple layers of the highest quality
automotive paint. This process is then followed by
four layers of crystal coat, which is then baked, wet-sanded,
polished, waxed and buffed. Resulting in a clean, smooth,
utterly beautiful and unique finish.

Other highlights of the
Rock Xtreme include two unique flexi-bays. Bay one
houses a DVD/CD-RW Combo drive
as standard whilst Bay two houses a floppy drive.
The FDD is swappable with a second battery, DVD/CD-RW,
DVD Writer, 6-in-1 card reader module or removable
2nd Hard Disk Drive. In essence, the Xtreme can become
a fast copying facility or users can double the machines
battery life by swapping the FDD with a second battery.
The Rock Xtreme is feature enhanced further with the
inclusion of a Bluetooth module which come as standard,
with further optional extras including up-to-the-minute
integrated wireless (802.11g) networking capabilities.
