Warwick based notebook manufacturer rockdirect has today announced its new notebook designed specifically for the mobile world, the Pegasus CT. This model is the first to feature Intel’s most advanced technology for the mobile market, Intel® Centrino™ mobile Technology, providing extended system battery life and integrated wireless LAN capability in a lightweight notebook design, together with outstanding mobile performance and reliability.

Until now, mobile users have been using processors designed by Intel to reduce power consumption for use in notebook computers. These mobile processors have yielded gains in battery life, by using technologies such as Enhanced Intel® SpeedStep® Technology.

Introducing Intel® Centrino™ mobile Technology
Intel’s new revolutionary Centrino™ mobile Technology has been designed from the ground up specifically for low power consumption and high performance in notebooks computers. Centrino™, features an entirely new processor micro architecture for mobile PC’s, the Intel Pentium M processor, which processes instructions in a streaming fashion rather than one at a time. The Intel® Pentium® M is also able to control the flow of power so it only goes to the parts of the processor that are in use.

Units will be supplied with Microsoft XP Pro Operating System, Ability Office 2002 Software and Panda Anti Virus Software as standard.
