SIGMA 750
Computer Shopper (August '00)
Presentation
The Sigma 750 occupies the same stylish silver chassis as
the cheaper Celeron-based Sigma 433 with no indication until
they are turned on that this is substantially faster and more
expensive.
Configuration
With Pentium III 750, 192Mb Ram and 8Mb ATI graphics chip
the Sigma 750 is one of the top performers this month, although
at 12Gb the hard drive is a more modest inclusion.
Features
Like the lower performance Sigma 433, the Sigma 750 comes
complete with 14.1' screen, integrated 56K modem, TV-out port
and battery-life indicator as well as an eight-speed DVD drive.
Summary
At £600 more than the Sigma 433, the 750 offers significantly
higher performance as well as DVD capability. If you're a
performance junkie, this additional cost may seem worthwhile,
but if you're just after an attractive workhorse notebook
with a generous screen then the Sigma 433 will suffice. Reviewed
